Bubba G. Beason | Arkansas Military Veterans' Hall of Fame

CMS Bubba G. Beason

Description:

With 25 years service in the US Air Force, CMS Beason received numerous awards for aircraft maintenance and system readiness. While his military career shined, his greatest personal accomplishment was in developing both the New Jersey and Arkansas Run for the Fallen which honors all service members killed during the Global War on Terrorism. This passion was instilled in Beason on a chance encounter with a Gold Star Mom, Janice Bridges, on March 27, 2007 during a 26.2 mile Bataan Memorial Death March ruck march in White Sands NM.  Even before retirement, Beason organized the first Arkansas Run For The Fallen, in 2012. This is a weekend run of over 140 miles from Ozark, Arkansas to the State Capitol in Little Rock. At each mile, the team stops to honor a specific fallen hero and presents photos and flags to family members. This honor continues on an annual basis.
